Dornoch is the winner of the 2024 Belmont Stakes.

The three-year old horse came in with 17-1 odds and emerged victorious after holding off a late charge from Mind Frame to seal the win.

This is Dornoch's first win since March and a significant improvement from his 10th place finish at the 2024 Kentucky Derby.

Dornoch has the highest odds for a winner at the Belmont Stakes since 2011, when Ruler on Ice won with 20-1 odds. He is owned by West Paces Racing, and former MLB outfielder Jayson Werth is notably a co-owner.

Dornoch remained at the top of the pack throughout the majority of the race but really made his space on the final furlong. The stallion led by multiple paces, but Mind Frame did make a charge that at least made things interesting.

Sierra Leone also picked up some ground on the other horses but the charge was too late and the stallion finished in third place. Mystik Dan, the winner of the 2024 Kentucky Derby, finished towards the back of the pack.
