Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan have spent the last two weeks interfering in each other's business after The Man ended Morgan's quest for revenge against Rhea Ripley by defeating her inside the Elimination Chamber and dashing her hopes of a WrestleMania 40 moment.
The two fan favorites battled in singles competition on Monday night's WWE Raw, with Lynch seeking to keep momentum ahead of her showdown with Mami in Philadelphia and Morgan hoping to strengthen her argument for a spot on the biggest card of the year.
Their contest was one of three high-stakes encounters on this week's show, with the opportunity to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship on the line in a Gauntlet match, and the Women's Tag Team Championships up for grabs, too.
Who left the Toyota Center in Houston with their arms raised in victory and their WrestleMania dreams closer to reality?
Find out with this recap of the March 11 show.
Match Card
- Intercontinental Championship No. 1 Contender Gauntlet match: Chad Gable vs. Sami Zayn vs. Ricochet vs. Bronson Reed vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. JD McDonagh
- Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan
- Women's Tag Team Championship: Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark vs. The Kabuki Warriors (c)
Announced in advance of Monday's show were:
Drew McIntyre Kicks Off Raw
- "We have a future world champion in Drew McIntyre we can actually invest in and be proud of," The Scottish Warrior said of The Rock and the WWE hierarchy's view of him.
- McIntyre's impression of laughing Rollins is hilarious and everyone should listen to it on repeat for the next hour.
- Rollins rightly called out the Scot, questioning whether he could win without the help of The Bloodline given how he had to rely on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa to defeat Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in recent weeks.
- "At the very bottom, the thing I'm worried about least is Drew McIntyre," Rollins said, nearly goading his No. 1 contender into a fight.

Drew McIntyre opened this week's show, again doing his best trolling job while attempting to spin his narrative, insisting that he does not need The Bloodline to help him win matches.
World heavyweight champion Seth Rollins interrupted and essentially called him a liar before telling his No. 1 contender that he is capable of handling multiple things at once, including defending his title at WrestleMania just one night after teaming with Cody Rhodes to battle The Rock and Roman Reigns.
He wrapped up the promo by attempting to goad McIntyre into losing his temper by telling him that he is the least of his problems, minimizing him and diminishing the significance of his title opportunity.
This was some strong psychological work from both men, each looking to get into the other's head. After weeks of McIntyre succeeding, this round went to Rollins, who attacked the one weakness of his opponent: his ego.

Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan
- Cole noted that this is the first time Morgan and Lynch have squared off in over two years.
- Morgan is performing with more confidence than she ever has, with her timing better than it has been and her work appearing to be more fluid, too.
- Case in point: A springboard codebreaker that put The Man down for a two-count.
- "I'm going to take everything you love. Everything," Morgan warned Ripley on her way out of the arena.

Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan tore the house down in the night's first match.
Morgan continued to tell the story of a competitor whose frustration has been intensified by her inability to score the elusive big-time victory.
She had several opportunities to knock off The Man and move closer to a WrestleMania match, even if it was not the one she values against Rhea Ripley.
WWE @WWE<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/TeamLiv?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#TeamLiv</a> or <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/TeamBecky?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#TeamBecky</a>?<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WWERaw?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WWERaw</a> <a href="https://t.co/YOSYaPufdv">pic.twitter.com/YOSYaPufdv</a>
The resilient Lynch fought through her opponent's offense and delivered the Manhandle Slam for the victory.
After the match, Ripley hit the ring, bypassing Morgan and confronting her 'Mania opponent. Mami talked trash but it was Lynch who warned the women's world champion that she is unstoppable when the world is against her.
All of this was excellent, from the continued evolution of Morgan as both an in-ring worker and character to the latest in the rivalry between Lynch and Ripley as they prepare for one of the marquee matches on this year's card at The Show of Shows.

Major WrestleMania Announcement; Women's Tag Team Action
- Hartwell did not appear to be sold on LeRae's turn and cutting words toward Dupri, hinting that their longtime partnership may be nearing its end.
- Backstage, The Judgment Day took exception to Pearce and Aldis' announcement and demanded a match with R-Truth and The Miz. Pearce said they were on a media trip, only for Truth to pop up. "My bad," he said, realizing he missed the trip. Priest challenged him to a match.

In a pre-taped announcement, respective Raw and SmackDown general managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis revealed that Finn Bálor and Damian Priest will defend their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against five other teams in a Six-Pack Challenge ladder match at WrestleMania.
Contending teams will have the opportunity to earn a spot in the match beginning Friday night on SmackDown.

Back in the arena, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell squared off with Ivy Nile and Maxxine Dupri.
There was little to the match, but it was an excuse to further LeRae's heel turn.
The Poison Pixie criticized Dupri for attempting the backward worm and then told her that the women in the locker room hate her more than the fans do. She also referenced Dupri's late brother.
Dupri walked into a big boot from Hartwell, who won the match for her team.
If nothing else, this was a great way to attempt to build sympathy for Dupri as an underdog. It may work, but LeRae was great here as she tore into the Alpha Academy underdog.

Michael Cole Interviews Cody Rhodes
- "If Rock is my boss, I'm not sure that he is, but if he is...it feels great to slap your boss."
- Cole finally brought up the elephant in the room: How can Rhodes trust Rollins? "People change," he replied, bringing up his smashing of the throne in All Elite Wrestling, his relationship with Triple H and his partnership with former Bloodline enemy Jey Uso.
- "This story is about all of you who have followed me to the absolute ends."
- "I can't hand it [the title belt] to Dusty Rhodes, but I sure as hell can hand it to Michelle Rubio," The American Nightmare choked up while talking about his mother.

Amid all of the talk about The Rock, the twists and turns the Road to WrestleMania has taken, the partnership with Seth Rollins and the internet movements, Cody Rhodes joined Michael Cole for an emotional in-ring interview in which he reminded the world of what he is fighting for on April 6-7 in Philadelphia.
He dismissed a question about his ability to trust Rollins as his tag team partner and then teared up as he talked about the fans and his family, for whom he will battle Roman Reigns and hope to finish his story by winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
This was excellent.
There will be some who want to see anger, rage and fury out of Rhodes entering 'Mania, and there is still plenty of time to get to that point. But this was a look at the man who has managed to captivate audiences and get them to go on a year-long ride with him.
Rhodes is real and relatable, and that was on full display here.

Women's Tag Team Title Match: Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark vs. Kabuki Warriors
- Cole reminded the audience that Stark was a former NXT tag team champion. Her partner? Iyo Sky.
- Asuka is so smooth in the ring. The way she escaped the Z-360, maneuvered around Stark and delivered a picture-perfect German suplex was the stuff of greatness.
- Baszler and Sane renewed their rivalry, calling back to spots in previous battles, including a counter of the Karifuda Clutch.
- Kai as the real leader of Damage CTRL has been a great twist to the story.

Damage CTRL continued to roll Monday night as Dakota Kai further established herself as the brains of the group by assisting Asuka and Kairi Sane in successfully defending their WWE Women's Tag Team Championship against Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.
The match was decent, with Baszler and Sane showcasing the chemistry that once made their feud one of the hottest in NXT.
Stark also showed out and continued to prove herself as one of the unsung stars of this women's division.
It made sense for Damage CTRL to pick up the win given the high-stakes match Iyo Sky has with Bayley at WrestleMania, but one would be hard-pressed to find anyone who would not want to see these two teams run it back sometime after The Showcase of the Immortals.

R-Truth vs. Damian Priest
- Priest blasted Truth before the bell with a cheap shot, taking an early upper hand.
- Truth's commitment to his "childhood hero" shtick and the reaction it receives from fans, proves how effective John Cena's trademark stuff really was.
- A Judgment Day beatdown put an exclamation point on the segment, heating the heels up as they prepare to be the centerpieces of a major ladder match at WrestleMania.

Damian Priest thwarted the challenge of R-Truth Monday night, capitalizing on a well-timed appearance from Judgment Day teammates Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh to put his rival away with South of Heaven.
Midway through the match, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa of DIY made their presence felt in support of Truth, but all three babyfaces felt the wrath of the infuriated faction to close out the segment.
This was harmless fun and continued to position DIY as one of the biggest threats to the tag titles, and it ensured the Truth-Judgment Day war was far from over.

Jey Uso's WrestleMania Challenge
- The brevity of this promo proved there is plenty to be accomplished without having to devote double-digit minutes to any given segment.

Jey Uso wasted no time making his WrestleMania 40 intentions clear: He wants a one-on-one match with twin brother Jimmy Uso.
It was the right response to what we have seen in recent weeks, where Jimmy has repeatedly cost his sibling high-profile victories, seemingly unwilling to allow him to achieve success without him by his side.
WWE @WWEJey Uso wants BROTHER vs. BROTHER at <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WrestleMania?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WrestleMania</a>!<br><br>Will we see Jey vs. Jimmy on the Grandest Stage of Them All?<br>YEET or NO YEET? <a href="https://t.co/s47hlW9Ge9">pic.twitter.com/s47hlW9Ge9</a>
We have seen sibling rivalries on the WrestleMania stage before, with Bret and Owen Hart tearing the house down from the opening match spot in 1994 and Matt and Jeff Hardy delivering a hard-hitting battle in 2009.
Which of the two matches this encounter more closely resembles remains to be seen, but it should be one of the more emotional contests of the card.

Gauntlet Match for Intercontinental Title Shot at WrestleMania
- Ricochet pinned McDonagh
- Reed pinned Ricochet
- Zayn pinned Reed
- Zayn pinned Nakamura
- Zayn pinned Gable
- Ricochet exploded back into the match with a springboard moonsault to McDonagh, followed by a Northern Lights suplex and then a brainbuster. This was a great display of raw power from The One and Only.
- The layout of the match was exceptional. McDonagh attacked the ribs of Ricochet, Reed eliminated him with the Tsunami. Reed attacked Zayn last week on Raw and then drew him as his second opponent.
- Cole continued his superb night on commentary, noting that Gable was the only competitor not to hold a singles title in either WWE or NXT, giving the audience another reason to invest in the Olympian.

Sami Zayn outlasted five other competitors in a high-stakes Gauntlet match to cash his ticket to Wrestlemania 40 and the opportunity to dethrone Gunther as intercontinental champion.
The Underdog from the Underground knocked off Chad Gable, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bronson Reed, Ricochet and JD McDonagh after enduring three grueling contests within the match.
There will be some who argue this was Gable's match to win and he should be the guy to dethrone Gunther. And while that argument is valid, Zayn had an equally as emotional storyline as someone desperate to prove he can be a champion.
Regardless of whether it was Zayn or Gable, either outcome promised a potential show-stealer in Philadelphia with The Ring General.
Zayn as the underdog forced to fight back against the oppressive power, aggression and fury of Gunther will provide fans in Philadelphia with a modern take on the Rocky Balboa-Ivan Drago story from Rocky IV, which is an easy narrative to invest in.

This was by far the best episode of Raw in 2024.
The Lynch-Morgan match was fantastic, as was the setup for the Last Woman Standing bout between The Man and Nia Jax next week.
Rollins and McIntyre wrote the latest chapter of their rivalry, and we had a big WrestleMania announcement in the form of the tag title ladder match and a challenge from Jey Uso to Jimmy Uso for a potential classic encounter.
Rhodes cut a wonderfully emotional promo, Baszler and Stark shined in defeat, and LeRae gave us a sneak peek at a new heel character that should earn her more television time in a post-WrestleMania WWE.
Everything here hit and, in some cases, hit big. This was a great show in which attention to detail was prevalent and (most) everything made sense.
Big thumbs-up to Triple H and the creative team for this one.
